ATLANTIKWALL

The Atlantic wall is one of the attractions lighthouses on the coast and one of the three museums of the provincial domain Raversyde. The sixty bunkers, observation posts and locations of guns and 2 km of open corridors or underground is one of the best preserved of the «Atlantic wall» parties, the infamous line of German defense. It was built by the Germans during the second world war, the Franco-Spanish border at the Norway. At that time, thousands of bunkers have been constructed to protect ports and to prevent an Allied attack. The Museum also houses the only German coastal battery stored at the first world war.
All these buildings were restored in their original and furnished with objects and furniture authentic State. The open-air museum is the ideal place to feel the atmosphere of the 'longest day '.
